Terms of Service

These terms cover the Whispering Nature website, our Discord server, and any pre-release build of the game we let you play. By using them, you agree to what follows.

Who you are dealing with

Whispering Nature is made by One Fox Studio Sàrl, a Swiss limited liability company. Where these terms say "we" or "us", that is who they mean. You can reach us at [email protected].

The game is unfinished

This is a game in development. A playable demo is expected in Q3 2026 and release is targeted for Q3 2027, and both of those dates may move — a date on our website is an intention, not a promise, and nothing here is an offer to sell you a finished game.

Any build we give you access to before release is pre-release software. It will contain bugs, it may lose your saved progress, features may be removed between versions, and the world may be rebuilt in a way that makes an old save worthless. Play it in that spirit.

Buying the game

When the game is sold, it is sold through Steam. Your purchase is a contract with Valve under Valve's terms, and refunds, payment and your licence to the game follow Steam's rules, not ours. Wishlisting from our site simply sends you to Steam.

The newsletter

If you give us your email address, we will send you news about the game and nothing else. No advertising for other products, and no passing your address to anyone. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you may leave at any time without telling us why. What we store and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Our Discord server

Our Discord is a place to talk about the game. Joining it is optional and it is moderated: our bot assigns roles, answers common questions, and records warnings issued by moderators.

While you are there, please do not:

• harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or set others onto someone;
• post sexual content involving minors, or anything else plainly illegal;
• post hate speech aimed at who someone is;
• spam, advertise, or run scams and phishing links;
• share other people's private information;
• impersonate us, our moderators, or other members.

We may warn, mute, kick or ban an account for breaking these, and for a serious breach we will do it without a warning first. Discord's own terms and guidelines apply to your account there in addition to ours.

Feedback and suggestions

If you send us a bug report or a suggestion — through the Discord bot, by email, or anywhere else — you are giving us permission to use it in the game and in our work without owing you payment, credit, or confidentiality. This is not us claiming your ideas in general; it is so that fixing the bug you reported, or building the feature you asked for, cannot later become a dispute.

Please do not send us anything you consider secret, or anything that is not yours to give.

What belongs to whom

The game, its name, its world, its art, its music, its text, this website and everything in it belong to One Fox Studio Sàrl or our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. These terms give you no licence to them beyond using this site and any build we hand you, as intended.

You may freely make videos, streams and screenshots of the game, including monetised ones, and you do not need to ask us. You may not sell our art or music by itself, pass the game or its assets off as your own, or scrape this site to train a machine-learning model.

Using this site properly

Do not try to break into the site, overwhelm it with automated requests, get at parts of it that are not yours, or interfere with anyone else's use of it. The editing tools and internal pages behind sign-in are for the studio, and attempting to reach them is not welcome.

Other people's sites

We link to Steam, Discord and other places we do not run. Following such a link takes you out of our care and into theirs, under their terms, and we are not responsible for what you find there.

No warranty

We provide the site and any pre-release build as they are. We do not promise the site will be available without interruption, that the game will be free of faults, or that it will run on your particular machine. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties.

None of this affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement. If your law gives you such a right, you keep it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the site or a pre-release build. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms as the game and the studio change. The date at the top changes with them, and a change that materially affects you will be announced on the site rather than slipped in. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Ending access

You can stop using the site at any time, leave the Discord, and unsubscribe from the newsletter. We may withdraw your access to our Discord or to a pre-release build if you break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law, nor of the right to sue where you live if your law gives it to you.
